I believe that today was a good day. I had the opportunity to stand for the Lord and proclaim a word to His people and now I am extremely tired. However, I feel that my efforts were not in vain. Do to the fact that it is Resurrection Sunday, I dealt with the text in the area of John 15:9-13 and I used "Jesus: My funny valentine" for a topic. I believe that the Lord was pleased as we had some who reunited with the church during invitation.
Tomorrow marks the beginning of the 62nd Annual Simultaneous Revival in Oklahoma City. It is an affair that always takes place during the week following Easter and it has been hosted by the Baptist Ministerial Alliance since its inception. Churches from all over OKC have individual revival services simultaneously and then we get together for mass afternoon and evening services at rotating locations each day. It is really a time that I look forward to because it gives me a chance to meet with my friends whom I rarely get a chance to see because they come from other parts of the country. Although we do not vary greatly in age, some of my friends are in another sphere compared to me as it relates to preaching. I am really humbled sometimes that some of these guys would even talk to me. There is also a varying age range with these preachers and I think that lends to the excitement. Different people just like different things which is true for this meeting. The variety of preachers is phenomenal. I will be praying in earnest that the overall meeting goes well.

I must say welcome to all who read these postings and I must also say Bonjour to myself. I have had this small area of the internet for approximately a week, but I had not previoously been afforded the opportunity to post anything. I plan on posting quite a bit in the future, but I have to go and get ready for the tomorrow morning.... Easter Sunday! I am so excited and I feel that I have been given something to preach that will stir the bowels of discontent towards mediocrity. After all, how can we be so complacent when the Savior of the world chose to set the captives free by the awesome gesture that He made? The gargantuan sacrifice is just beyond my comprehension. But I digress as some will never be able to put aside "logic" for "real love". Please pray for all of the children of light who deliver the orations of the Holy Writ for our Father and Lord.
